Honored to offer furniture assembly services in Penang since around 2015. PEN Handyman Services started by mainly assisting with IKEA furniture. Back then, Penang folks kindly had to acquire IKEA items from KL as it wasn't available locally. Over the years, I've also carefully handled numerous Taobao furniture assemblies, though I haven't yet had the chance to update my website with specific pricing for those. Today, I hope this page can provide a rough idea of the potential assembly cost for your Taobao finds.

As Mr. Choo, a solo handyman, I always strive to treat each customer's furniture with the same care and respect I would my own. I sincerely hope this approach resonates with you. Quality workmanship is what I always aim to deliver.

At this moment, my service area is still focused on Penang island, with no plans to expand elsewhere for the time being.

Assembly Fee Details

My assembly fee structure at PEN Handyman Services includes a base assembly cost per item plus a service fee based on location. (Assembly fee + service fee (inclusive of transport))

Assembly Fee:

The assembly fee is as listed below per item, or 15% of the original product's retail price, whichever is higher:

Per item price list:

• Office Desk: RM30

• Meeting Desk: RM80

• Gaming/Office Chairs: RM30

• Book Shelf: RM30

• Shoes Cabinet: RM30

• Wardrobe: RM60

• Dining Set: RM100

Service fee (inclusive of transport)

• Ayer Itam & Relau: A small fee of RM30

• Bayan Lepas & Gelugor: A nominal RM40 

• Balik Pulau, Georgetown & Tanjung Tokong: A modest RM50 

• Tanjung Bungah & Batu Maung: Around RM60 

• Batu Ferringhi & Teluk Bahang: Approximately RM70 

• Outside Penang Island: Regrettably, no coverage at the moment.

Potential surcharges (Please take note):

• Abortive Trip Fee: Should I be unable to proceed upon arrival due to reasons on the customer's end, the assembly fee will be refunded, but the travel fee, unfortunately, cannot be.

• Second Trip Fee: If a second visit is required due to reasons on the customer's end, a second travel fee will be necessary.

• Dismantling Fee: Dismantling or removal of existing furniture will incur a separate, small charge.

Terms and Conditions (Kindly read):

1. To help me provide an accurate quotation, please kindly offer precise details and quantities of the items for assembly. Should there be a discrepancy between the provided information and the actual items, I may need to adjust the fee or, in some cases, decline the assembly.

2. To ensure a smooth process, I would be grateful if you could schedule the assembly only once all goods and parts have arrived. If I cannot complete the task on the scheduled day due to missing items and a second trip is needed, an additional travel fee will apply.

3. For the best outcome, I kindly request that you ensure the goods are free from damage or quality issues. I may have to decline assembly if such issues are apparent.

4. Once an appointment is confirmed, if the assembly cannot proceed upon arrival due to reasons on your end, I will refund the assembly fee, but the travel fee, regrettably, cannot be refunded.

5. Upon completion, I would greatly appreciate it if you could inspect and sign off on the work on the spot. Any quality issues arising more than 24 hours after I leave will, regrettably, be the customer's responsibility.

6. If additional assembly services are requested on the day that go beyond my initial schedule, I sincerely apologize that a second appointment might be necessary, which would incur an additional travel fee.

组装费用详情

我在 PEN Handyman Services 的组装费用结构包括每件物品的基本组装费，以及根据地点计算的上门费。（组装费 + 上门费）

组装费：

组装费按以下每件物品的价格收费，或为产品原零售价的 15%，两者取其较高者：

每件物品价格表：

• 办公桌：30 令吉

• 会议桌：80 令吉

• 电竞椅/办公椅：30 令吉

• 书架：30 令吉

• 鞋柜：30 令吉

• 衣柜：60 令吉

• 餐桌椅：100 令吉

上门费：

• 亚依淡 & 垄尾：象征性收取 30 令吉 

• 双溪赖，武吉占姆 & 乔治市：略收 40 令吉 

• 浮罗山背，乔治市 & 丹绒道光：约 50 令吉 

• 丹绒武雅 & 峇都茅：大约 60 令吉 

• 峇都丁宜 & 直落巴巷：预估 70 令吉 

• 槟岛以外：目前，恕未能提供服务。

可能产生的额外费用（敬请留意）：

• 空跑费： 若因顾客原因导致我上门后无法进行安装，组装费将退还，但上门费恕不退还。

• 二次上门费： 若因顾客原因导致需要我再次上门服务，需再次收取上门费。

• 拆除费： 原有家具的拆除或搬移，将另外收取少量拆除费。

条款与条件（恳请细阅）：

1. 为方便我提供准确的报价，恳请您提供准确的商品详情及安装数量。一旦发现所提供资料与实物不符，我或需调整费用，甚至可能婉拒安装。

2. 为确保顺利进行，烦请您在所有货物及零件到齐后再预约安装时间。若因缺少零件导致我当日无法完成任务而需二次上门，将需额外收取上门费。

3. 为了能顺利组装，恳请您确保货物无破损及质量问题。若发现此类问题，我或需婉拒安装。

4. 预约成功后，若因顾客原因导致我上门后无法安装，组装费将退还，但上门费恕不退还。

5. 安装完毕后，恳请您务必当场验货签收。我离开现场24小时后，任何安装后出现的质量问题将由顾客自行承担。

6. 若在安装当日，顾客需要额外的安装服务，且超出我预定的时间安排，恕需安排二次上门，并将额外收取上门费。
